Park 803 W.
From ENHLDWiki
This Queen Anne home was built in 1895 as the residence of Arthur H. Mueller, president of Centennial Brewing Company. The style is characterized by asymmetry, as expressed in the two turrets and wrap-around porch. Interior mahogany stairs and columns reflect an elegance unusual in even the high-class west side homes of the 1890s. Pocket doors, brass lighting fixtures, and a hand-painted mural of a river scene are also found inside. Mueller's in-laws, police court judge James C. Sullivan and his wife Margaret, also resided here. The Centennial Brewing Company boasted in 1905 that it sold "a million glasses a day—someone must like it!" The brewery was established in 1876 by Leopold F. Schmidt. Arthur Mueller, born in Prussia, joined the company in the late 1880s and was president by 1902, when he also owned stock in the Billings and Anaconda Brewing Companies.
