Background
They gave $31,000 to a museum to study "An Evaluation of Supercritical Drying and PEG/Freeze-Drying of Waterlogged Archaeological Wood", so we ought to be able to convince them to help us!
They focus on research, training, meetings, conferences and publications, not 'bricks and moarter'.
The NEH accepts other federal agencies like that as grantors/matchers in support of their grants, which usually only add up to under 80% of total cost.
