Help:How do I make a new page?
From ENHLDWiki
Please start by checking the Content Index to see if a link has already been made to the article you want to work on.
1. The Quick and Happy Way
On any page, make an internal link to the desired new page like so:
Code: I think the notion of [[core inflation]] is a load of crap.
Display: I think the notion of core inflation is a load of crap.
Now when you click on that new (red) link, you will be taken to a place (an "edit box") where you can begin to edit the new page.
As a general rule this is the best way to make a new page as it insures that the new page is linked in some fashion to the rest of the wiki.buttenhld.org. It’s the best practice to try to find a page that would be the most appropriate spot to link in the new page. If such a page simply doesn't exist then its best to try to think of an appropriate place for the link on the Main Page. This may require one to put in more broadly focused pages from the Main Page that later the new page can link to. Try to consider what other information and pages will be going along with what is being added. For properties, please start them by adding the red link to the Content Index page.
1a. The Quick and Happy Way, Part 2
If you are reading or editing an existing article, and you encounter a red link that someone else has previously created, you are halfway there. Just click that red link and you'll go to the empty edit box for that page, where you can just start typing! But don't forget to SAVE, early and often.
2. The Unsavory Way
The other way to make a page is to search for the name of the page that one desires to make. If that page doesn't literally exist one will be afforded the opportunity to make it. CAUTION: pages made in this way are not linked to by any other page unless one does so explicitly from another page after the fact. But if one is going to make a link to it later then why not make the link first as described in method 1? Pages without links can only be found by searching for them or from Special:Allpages.
