Help:Edit summary
From ENHLDWiki
Below the edit box, right above the "save" button, is a little box labeled Summary. That's a space for you to indicate, briefly, what you have done.
Some examples (but be free and descriptive):
- New article
- typo
- added new info
- fixed punctuation
- changed layout
- added pic
- add category
- added refs
What this does is gives other users, who have that page on their watchlist, a clue as to what you've done. If it is a whole article, or with a new pic, or more info, they may want to review it, whereas they may just ignore it if all you did was change a typo.
Sometimes the Summary (also known as Edit Summary) box will be partly filled in, if you are editing just a section. Just add whatever you want to after the auto-filled part.
