This Victorian Cottage was built in 1897 and first owned by William H. Fenton and his wife Mary Jane. William was a dentist and had offices at 115 N. Main. This small brick home may have been built by August Christian who also built the house next door at 844 W. Broadway. The Cottage had some changes in 1910 with the addition of a front sun porch, a back porch, and a side box bay window. A third bedroom may have also been added at this time.
